- The stem part that is clamped to the hose is one part of the Boss™ washer seal connection
- The Boss™ washer seal spud part of the coupling serves as the other half of the connection and is usually fixed to the equipment
- The two halves are connected or disconnected by rotating the wing nut on the spud
- A leak-proof seal forms by rotating the wing nut and hammering it tight
- Easy-to-seal
- A Klingersil® C-4401 washer is inserted between the stem and spud
- Recommended for steam service up to 450 deg F
- Boss™ couplings supply a convenient threaded fitting to connect two lengths of hose or a single length to a male or female threaded outlet
Applications: For steam hose connections, air, water, fluid petroleum, chemicals and liquid petroleum gas up to 1 in ID
